Established by the Mount Gambier South Australian Rural Women’s Gathering to empower local women in their educational journey.

The South Australian Rural Women’s Gathering: Mount Gambier Sub Fund was established in 2013 through a generous donation from the Mount Gambier-hosted Rural Women’s Gathering. Created to benefit women with a connection to the Limestone Coast, the fund supports educational scholarships awarded on the basis of equity or merit.

This sub fund has previously been supported by Women in Business & Regional Development and contributes to Stand Like Stone’s broader mission of enabling access to education for those who need it most. Scholarships assist women in pursuing vocational or tertiary studies, helping build skills, confidence and opportunity across the region.

Stand Like Stone is proud to steward this fund in partnership with local women’s networks and community leaders, ensuring that the legacy of the Rural Women’s Gathering continues to uplift and inspire future generations.
