Governance
The Stand Like Stone Foundation is incorporated as a Public Company Limited.
We are limited by Guarantee under the Corporations Act and therefore required to report to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission, Australian Taxation Office and the public about our activities.

We believe it takes teamwork, innovation, passion, courage and kindness to achieve lasting impact.
This year we are embarking on our boldest strategic plan to date. We want to involve more people in giving, helping to tackle some of the toughest problems we face, and assisting more people to realise their potential.
We will continue to work with our partners in the Limestone Coast to accomplish this in our role as funder, enabler, capacity builder, advocate and agent for change
Our people
We are a team of people who are passionate about helping our community.
We are led by a team of volunteer directors from across the Limestone Coast, representing their communities and assisted by a small two-person operational team based at our Mount Gambier office, including Chief Executive Officer Jason Wallace and Accounts and Grants Coordinator Sally Bailey.

Our history
Founded in 2004 by passionate locals in the Limestone Coast, the Stand Like Stone Foundation began with a simple belief: that communities thrive when they stand together. From its first $10,000 grant to now stewarding millions in community funds, Stand Like Stone has grown into a trusted philanthropic force—supporting education, wellbeing and resilience across the region. Powered by local generosity and guided by grassroots values, we’re building a legacy where every person has the chance to flourish.
We acknowledge the Aboriginal people as the First Nations of these lands and waters of the Limestone Coast. We acknowledge the Elders, past, present and future, and we respect the ongoing deep feelings of attachment and relationships of First Nations people to country.
