Penola Coonawarra Wellbeing
Established in 2008 to support wellbeing and charitable initiatives in the Penola Coonawarra district, with donations held in perpetuity.
The Penola Coonawarra Wellbeing Sub Fund was established in 2008 as a way for the local community to invest in its own future. Managed by the Stand Like Stone Foundation, the fund supports charitable projects that enhance wellbeing across the Penola and Coonawarra region.
Donations to the sub fund are held in perpetuity, meaning the original gift is never spent. Instead, the income generated is used to provide grants for local initiatives. Past recipients include the McKay Children’s Centre Parent Information Night, Penola Blokes Shed, and the Penola Community Library. Through the Back to School program, over 128 students in Penola have also received support.
This sub fund is a testament to the power of collective giving—where even small donations grow into lasting impact. Stand Like Stone welcomes contributions from individuals, families, and organisations who want to strengthen the Penola Coonawarra community for generations to come.
