Established to honour Barrie Holmes by supporting students connected to the Limestone Coast in both academic and sporting pursuits.

The Barrie Holmes Memorial Scholarship Sub Fund was created to support students in the Limestone Coast who demonstrate merit or face barriers to education. With a particular focus on sports and athletic development, the fund recognises the importance of balancing academic achievement with physical wellbeing and personal growth.

Scholarships may assist students at any level—primary, secondary or tertiary—and are awarded based on equity or merit. Whether helping with school costs, training expenses, or further study, the fund aims to empower young people to reach their full potential both in the classroom and on the field.

Stand Like Stone is proud to steward this sub fund in memory of Barrie Holmes, whose legacy continues to inspire excellence, opportunity and resilience in the region’s youth.
