Neil Shelton

Director

Neil Shelton brings a wealth of experience across diverse industries including hospitality, emergency services and agriculture. After completing an apprenticeship as a Master Butcher, Neil opened Killara Butchery in Mount Gambier in 1984.

In 1990, Neil purchased the freehold of the Nelson Hotel in Victoria which he successfully operated for 23 years before leasing the business in 2013. That same year, Neil joined Parks Victoria as a Project Bushfire Fighter where he progressed to Crew Leader, trained new firefighters and participated in aerial firefighting operations. His work took him across Victoria to many large campaign fires.

Neil returned to the hotel business in 2019 when the lease ended and later sold the freehold in 2023. He is now working in the agriculture sector, continuing his commitment to regional industries and communities.
