After months of rehearsals, fundraising and stepping well outside their comfort zones, this year’s participants are ready to deliver what promises to be a memorable night of entertainment, community spirit and generosity.

Representing communities across the region, the 2026 Stars are Fiona Unger, Linda Carter, Justine Drew, Meg Malseed, Phil Ackland, Tom Williams, Will Limbert and Jack Lane.

Each has been paired with a local dance partner and guided by Tamara Kilsby and Jade Charlton of Envy Dance Studio in preparation for the big night.

Stand Like Stone Foundation chief executive officer Jason Wallace said the event continues to capture the hearts of the Limestone Coast community.

“Swinging with the Stars is powered by courage, generosity and community spirit,” Mr Wallace said.

“Every year our Stars remind us what’s possible when local people step forward for a cause that supports the Limestone Coast.”

While the dancing will take centre stage on Saturday night, the event is equally about the impact of the funds raised.

Each Star is competing for the People’s Choice award through their individual fundraising campaigns, supporting a range of sub funds that strengthen wellbeing, education, health and community resilience across the region.

From supporting local students and young people, to improving health outcomes and building community capacity, the causes behind each performance highlight the breadth of impact made possible through Stand Like Stone.

Mr Wallace said the dedication shown by the Stars has been inspiring.

“These Stars have committed to four months of rehearsals while also raising funds for causes close to their hearts,” Mr Wallace said.

“The support they’ve received from the community shows just how much this event means across the Limestone Coast.”

The event, proudly sponsored by Ray White Mount Gambier, has again sold out, reinforcing its place as one of the region’s most anticipated community events.

With final rehearsals underway this week, anticipation is high as dancers put the finishing touches on their routines.

While friendly competition is part of the fun, organisers say the real success lies in the collective effort to give back to the community.

Presented by Stand Like Stone Foundation, Swinging with the Stars continues to celebrate local leadership, courage and connection - bringing people together to support opportunities that will benefit the region for years to come.

The routines will light up the dancefloor this Saturday at The Barn.
