Penola Tornado Recovery Appeal Sub Fund

The Penola Tornado Recovery Appeal Sub Fund has been established within the Stand Like Stone Foundation in response to the tornado event which travelled through the Penola township, impacting on homes, businesses and the streetscape.

The aim of the Appeal Sub Fund is to provide assistance for the recovery of the Penola community following the tornado.

Donations can be given to Stand Like Stone and attributed to the Penola Tornado Recovery Appeal Sub Fund of the Stand Like Stone Foundation. Donations can be tax deductible. Click here to download the donation form.

Educational Scholarships available for 2011

People with a connection to the Limestone Coast are invited to apply for an Educational Scholarship for courses being studied in 2011 or hoping to study in 2011. Applications close on 30 September 2010. More information is available by clicking on Scholarships.

Grants available

Not-for-profit organisations in the Limestone Coast are invited to apply for grants of up to $1,000 for charitable projects. Applications close on 30 September 2010. More information is available by clicking on Grant Making.

The Stand Like Stone Foundation gives educational scholarships and grants to charitable projects in the Limestone Coast.

Stand Like Stone is the Limestone Coast’s local philanthropic organisation. Stand Like Stone raises money through donations to benefit those in our local community. Donations to Stand Like Stone are never spent, only the interest made from those funds is spent in the form of grants to charitable projects, only in the Limestone Coast, and educational schoalrships. This builds a permanent savings fund for the area.

Stand Like Stone was established in 2004 and since then has had eight grant rounds of which over $40,000 has been distributed around the Limestone Coast. Stand Like Stone also supports the “Stay at School” and “Back to School” programs where vouchers are provided to deserving students during and at the start of the school year. Over $100,000 has been distributed through the Back to School program and over $45,000 for the Stay at School program.
